My journey is a story of resilience, passion, and purpose. Growing up in a family with two MLB scouts, I was immersed in the game from day one. Baseball and softball weren’t just sports—they were a way of life, teaching me discipline, strategy, and a deep love for competition. That foundation shaped me, but it wasn’t until I faced my toughest challenges that I truly found my love for the game.
I began my college career at Penn State, stepping onto the field as a freshman ready to prove myself at the Division I level. But my journey took a sharp turn when COVID-19 abruptly ended my first season. Shortly after, I broke my leg—a moment that changed everything. The months of recovery were some of the hardest of my life, but they reminded me why I fell in love with the game in the first place. It wasn’t just about winning; it was about perseverance, connection, and never losing sight of the joy in playing.
Determined to come back stronger, I transferred to the University of Houston, where I thrived as an Academic All-American and led my team with a .302 batting average. There, I not only rebuilt my physical strength but also honed my leadership skills, embracing the role of mentor and teammate. Now, as a graduate student in digital media, I’m combining my athletic experience with my academic foundation in Sociology, Media Production, and Nutrition to explore how sports and storytelling can drive change.
As a coach, my style is deeply personal. I lead with empathy and collaboration, focusing on building confidence and resilience in my athletes. I believe in meeting players where they are, helping them unlock their potential while fostering a love for the game that goes beyond the field.
From growing up surrounded by the sport to overcoming challenges that tested my limits, every step of my journey has been about rediscovering my passion and finding new ways to make an impact. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or behind the scenes in media, I’m driven by the same values that have carried me through: hard work, resilience, and a love for what I do.
